OK, so this news is not quite as monumental on a global scale as any of the above items, but here at Citifocus HQ we’re very excited! We are also very pleased that we share our launch date with such esteemed company. Naturally, when we discovered that we were launching our new look on such an auspicious date we thought it a good idea to see what we might have in common with those we share it with.
The ice cream cone was easy – and we’ll be eating some to celebrate “going live” today. As for the others, the similarities may not be obvious, but by looking hard enough (and using lateral thinking and a little artistic licence) we’ve done our best to find something!
The financial markets and recruitment landscapes are always changing and with the ongoing introduction of new products, business models and regulation we often feel that we are navigating uncharted waters. Like Christopher Columbus we are determined to stay on course and arrive at our desired location.
We don’t know if it is true but received opinion is that George Washington “could not tell a lie” and we like to believe the story. Certainly the first President of the US has a reputation for integrity and impartiality, which are two qualities that are very important to us here at Citifocus.
What a debt of gratitude the world owes to CERN and Sir Tim Berners –Lee. Apart from allowing us to view videos of funny cats and arrange group outings to the pub with one click, the World Wide Web has revolutionised the world of business. In particular the way that companies recruit has changed beyond recognition since we used to receive all our applications in the post. Do we have any similarities to CERN? Probably not, but we have had the pleasure of being able to understand exactly how much of a difference they have made to our ability to transact business more expediently and efficiently.
So, welcome to our new site. Do take a minute to look through it all to get to know us better and see if we have just the job for you (and keep checking back – if it’s not there today it might be tomorrow!)
