Our client is a leading provider of personalised investment management and wealth management services for private investors and trustees. This includes discretionary investment management, unit trusts, tax planning, trust and company management, pension advice and banking services.
They are seeking an individual to support the successful delivery by the Corporate Development team of acquisitions and other projects of a corporate or ‘plc’ nature material in the context of the Company’s growth and continued achievement of stakeholder expectations.
Specific responsibilities will be to provide research, analytical and execution support in relation to prospective and/or active acquisitions, strategic investments, formation of strategic relationships or other opportunities/transactions with third parties, undertake market research into competitor and industry developments and produce ad-hoc updates and presentation materials in relation to these to support Board and senior management briefings and strategic decision-making, assist with the preparation of presentations and other documents in support of the Group’s strategy, including strategic business plans and strategic updates for the Board and Group Executive Committee and as required, work with senior stakeholders in relation to equity capital raisings projects, strategy presentations, capital markets days or other major market-facing initiatives.
Applications are therefore invited from degree educated individuals who must offer at least 2-3 years + professional corporate development / corporate strategy experience, ideally gained in an investment management, wealth management, consulting, corporate finance or big 4 accountancy firm along with a (continued) desire to study for professional qualifications, demonstrable interest in the Investment Management industry, high levels of integrity and professionalism and strong reasoning / interpersonal skills.
