Highly respected Investment Banking Group based in the City is looking for an Assistant Manager - Operational Risk to develop operational risk policies and standards and to support the bank’s overall Risk Management Framework in relation to their Global Custody business.
Key responsibilities will include operational risk and incident monitoring, coordinating with senior management and key stakeholders in identifying and evaluating risk areas across all operational activities, reviewing and maintaining the Risk Register on a regular basis, acting as Chairperson to the Operational Risk Committee and leading the internal Control Self-Assessment programme. The role will also require candidates to ensure the operational risk function stays abreast of any FCA or other regulatory requirements and motivating staff to adopt risk management practices.
The successful candidate is likely to be degree educated with several years’ experience of Operational Risk Management specifically in relation to the FCA's regulations and requirements (especially the CASS sourcebook) and Global Custody.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary along with the ability to work in an international environment with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
