Strategic opportunity within City-based Asset Manager for a Senior Data Governance Manager to take responsibility for the implementation and ongoing management of the Data Governance Framework and act as key point of contact across the organisation for all data governance (DG) related matters.
This multi-faceted opportunity will require the role-holder to build out the strategic capability of DG within the business, work closely with data custodians to establish controls and manage vulnerabilities or breaches, implement a policy management framework for all data and work with executive business stakeholders to set up relevant DG forums and working groups. The over-arching responsibility of the role will be to embed a data-centric culture within the organisation, supporting the business’s overall data strategy.
The successful candidate is likely to have specific experience of working within a DG framework, ideally from a project management perspective and have an investment management background (possibly banking). Proven knowledge of DG best practices and standards, GDPR knowledge, and a good understanding of the regulatory framework within the financial services industry is key. The role will suit candidates able to interact credibly with senior stakeholders and operate as thought-leaders, whilst delivering in accordance with time, cost and quality parameters. Great opportunity to help define and influence the organisation’s data strategy at a time of business growth.
