City based Investment Management Group is looking to identify a Risk Manager to join their Regional Risk team.
The Risk Managers’ role is to help manage and assist the Head of Risk UK in implementing the groups risk management framework. The framework enables the Risk Department to identify, measure, analyse, monitor and report to senior management key risks associated with business. This includes both proprietary and agency risks, incorporating principally but not limited to operational as well as key business and strategic risks.
This will naturally involve the person in all aspects of monitoring new risk developments, changes to procedures, processes, systems and regulations, and assess their potential impact on the company from a risk perspective, revising and further develop a series of key risk indicators in conjunction with business managers which ensure that all key risks are adequately captured, measured and managed, providing trend analysis on key risk metrics, meeting regularly with nominated business areas to discuss adherence to the risk management framework and current and emerging risk issues, production and analysis of risk reports to support Group risk reporting requirements and handling day to day queries from various sources and to provide technical assistance to staff where required.
Candidates for this key function should be qualified to degree level and have a minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in the investment management industry and the risk space. Attention to detail is vital whilst being self-motivated and able to work without close supervision.
