Respected European Asset Manager based in the City is keen to strengthen their Investment Compliance unit with the appointment of an experience individual to the team.
The person appointed will undertake a variety of related duties including coding investment restriction rules into order management systems within agreed timeframes, daily investment restrictions compliance monitoring (pre and post trade) of funds and segregated mandates including investigation of potential investment restriction breaches, participation in internal projects as risk function representative for new fund launches or repositioning of existing funds and liaising with internal and external portfolio managers regarding investment strategies, answer queries regarding eligibility of financial instruments and/or other investment compliance related topics.
This role necessitates close collaboration with other departments, in particular within the Risk function and with Legal & Compliance departments (with regard to the drafting of the investment strategy, objectives and restrictions in fund prospectuses and Investment Management Agreements (IMAs)).
Applications are invited from individuals offering a university degree in Business or Economics or similar but more essentially with relevant and proven practical experience in investment compliance gained specifically in the asset management sector. Use and familiarity of Thinkfolio (including strong rule coding skills) is absolutely essential as are good communication skills both written and verbal at all levels of seniority.
