Great opportunity for a talented property finance underwriter to join this specialist bank, as part of a highly successful, high profile team, and assist with the evaluation of new business opportunities and build on levels of business from existing clients. Clients are typically experienced property investors keen to acquire new properties, restructure or enhance their property portfolios.

This opportunity will suit a candidate experienced in working with clients including but not limited to HNWIs, SPVs, Offshore Companies & Trusts, Expats and UK citizens.  Lending experience should include commercial and semi-commercial property, residential investment property, HMOs and mixed property portfolios.  The ideal candidate will also be able to present to and entertain clients, with excellent communication skills both written and verbal. He or she will be able to work with limited supervision to tight deadlines, whilst still ensuring high levels of accuracy. In particular, candidates should understand the legal aspects of the property market, specifically utilising property as security.

The Underwriting Specialist will be involved in increasing levels of business from existing accounts, as well as winning new business by structuring loan facilities effectively, following thorough research and cash-flow analysis. The successful candidate will need to be credible, and be able to present proposals to Credit Committee, both in writing and in person, then drive approved facilities to completion.  The production of MI for senior management as required, along with timely and accurate file maintenance and account processing is also key.
