London-based subsidiary of leading international Bank is looking to hire a Manager to fulfil a leading role in building up the London Branch’s Credit Investment activity (both Strategic Credit and Fund Investment sub-sectors), including developing business strategy and originating specific transaction opportunities. The successful candidate will be required to take substantial ongoing responsibility for monitoring and managing the portfolio, in coordination with senior management and product specialists within Head Office.
Key elements of the role will include reviewing the department’s business and investment strategy on a regular basis, building up and maintaining a wide range of business contacts with originators of potential transactions (including investment banks, commercial banks and funds), and identifying specific investment opportunities, analysing the associated credit risks and managing the internal processes required to obtain approvals to proceed with the investment. Monitoring and managing each investment within the portfolio on an ongoing basis, and ensuring any difficulties arising are managed in close consultation with Management is also key. This role falls within the scope of the FCAs Certification Regime and the incumbent will be required to undertake at least 35 hours of CPD per year.
The successful candidate is likely to be ACIB/degree qualified with at least 10 years’ experience in Asset Backed Securities-related credit analysis and investment in an international financial institution.
