City-based specialist bank are looking to recruit a key member of their team to assist the Senior Credit Officer in all aspects of credit risk monitoring, to contribute to the avoidance of loss across the bank’s lending divisions. Another key role will be working to improve the performance of impaired assets, to optimise any possible write-back or provisions and avoid new provisions in the lending book.
You will maintain the Bank’s Credit Risk Rating system, ensure the accuracy of information on databases and get involved in the preparation of reports for senior management as required. A key role will be attending the regular Credit Review meetings (including Watch List & Recoveries) to ensure an accurate record of those meetings and that required actions are completed. The successful candidate will also ensure accurate file and account maintenance.
To be successful in the role, you will have existing relevant credit risk monitoring experience gained from within a banking environment - exposure to structured finance, mortgage finance or bridging finance is highly desirable, combined with a relevant qualification. You also need excellent attention to detail and strong reporting and MI skills.
