Our client, a Global Asset Manager, is looking to recruit an experienced Data Governance Modeller to be a key part of the Data Architecture function.
The main purpose of the role will be to lead data management and data governance activities ensuring data best practice, for the fair treatment of clients and compliance with regulations. The person appointed will develop, manage and maintain data standards, policies and ensure data tools and templates are fit for business needs and comply with regulations. They will also be the point of contact for Group data-related tasks, queries around data models, and for leading solution-based discussions to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
Applicants will require 5+ years data analysis or data governance experience, gained specifically within an Asset Management firm, along with an understanding of data modelling practices, (E/R, Relational, Data Semantic, Conceptual), modelling tools such as Visual Paradigm, Erwin, RSA etc and business process modelling experience to include data querying in SQL or Oracle databases.
It is likely that the successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and have experience working with the most senior of stakeholders in a highly-matrixed environment. An understanding of financial instruments and Front Office data concepts is also highly desirable.
