Prestigious Global Asset Manager seeks highly experienced Data professional currently focusing on either data analysis or data governance in a buy-side environment and with strong Business process Modelling experience, ideally to include a good understanding of data modelling practices. Successful incumbent will undertake a senior and broad based Data role but the key responsibilities will be to lead data management and data governance activities ensuring data practices comply with regulations across country, regional or global geographies, as defined under remit; develop, manage and maintain data standards, policies and ensure data tools and templates meet business needs and comply with regulation.
Additional responsibilities will be to act as the main point of contact for Group data related tasks and queries around data models, and lead solution based discussions to mitigate risks and resolve issues. The role holder will maximise the understanding of data across the asset management business as per their remit e.g. regional or global, and ensure that all data is correctly and efficiently governed and as defined in the Group Data Strategy policy.
Applicants must demonstrate a proven track record in Data from either a data analysis and/or data governance role undertaken specifically in an Asset Management firm together with an understanding of data modelling practices, (E/R, Relational, Data Semantic, Conceptual), modelling tools such as Visual Paradigm, Erwin, RSA etc., and business process modelling experience to include data querying in SQL or Oracle databases.
Technical experience must be complemented by strong communication, relationship and interpersonal skills as the role involves extensive Stakeholder management in a global environment.
