Group Insurance Division of leading global asset manager seeks an experienced Operational Manager with extensive knowledge of the Insurance business to take ownership of operational support for the Group Insurance COO Office. Key responsibility will be to ensure consistency and adoption of policies, processes, governance and reporting across the Insurance Business and will involve extensive liaison with Senior & Executive Management across various disciplines and creation of information for use at Executive Management forums.
Other responsibilities will include cost analysis and management for Group Insurance & Insurance manufacturing entities ensuring robust management of Direct and Indirect costs across various Group Insurance sites; ensuring streamlined and efficient delivery of Operational activities; and organisational design to ensure insurance entities operate in a consistent and efficient manner. Additionally, Governance & Documentation and Strategy Execution to include developing and implementing operational and technology strategy for the Group Insurance COO Office
In addition to the above technical experience, the successful incumbent must also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across different cultures and geographies and understand and interpret complex business requirements. This will be further complemented by a high level of personal drive and motivation to ensure delivery of a broad based remit and a strong awareness of the external environment e.g. regulatory, political, competitors etc. Practical experience of major business transformation activities is highly desirable.
