Prestigious global asset manager seeks a high calibre, PMO Manager with significant exposure to portfolio management gained from a major, financial institution, ideally asset management or the banking sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for heading up the Project Management Office and will demonstrate a good understanding of change management, together with proven leadership and stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively to budget and deadline. A good knowledge of the Group Portfolio, Programme and Project Management Framework and previous experience of supporting project and programme managers to manage change through project delivery is essential.
Responsibilities are extremely varied and will revolve around providing support to the programme manager with regard to planning, strategy development, resourcing, governance and reporting. A strong understanding of analytical tools and techniques for reporting and producing MIS is essential, together with advanced knowledge of project management tools.
Applicants will possess a high level of risk and controls awareness, superior communication and influencing skills, the ability to manage ambiguity and previous experience of controlling outcomes and delivering in a complex, change project environment.
