The role is broad-ranging and will involve undertaking credit research and formulating opinion on bank and broker/dealer counterparties, together with approval/denial of prospective counterparties and ongoing counterparty monitoring. This will involve analysing each firm and the wider climate in which they operate, to include country, sector, political, economic and market analysis. A good understanding of how an asset manager operates and the relationship between the firm and each of its counterparties is essential.
The role will suit a confident, clear communicator with a high level of business acumen and a practical approach to credit analysis. Strong research skills and a creative approach to problem solving are essential.
